We bought a Baby Brezza Pro Advanced after friends told us it was a "must have" item for Graviditet och Barn formula fed baby. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience and wanted to share with other parents in case anyone else is dealing with this or considering buying one.
Long story short, our 4 month daughter was only eating a few ounces at a time at home but would finish every bottle we sent to day care. My husband and I could not believe it and suspected maybe day care was exaggerating how much she ate. Well, yesterday a Saturday she became extremely fussy shortly after I fed her a bottle made from the Baby Brezza.
I decided to hand mix instead of use the machine and she chugged an entire 8 oz hand mixed bottle. Our poor baby was starving! We found out the machine was dispensing too much water and not enough formula, despite being set to the proper ratio for her formula brand.
My husband and I were so distraught and felt SO guilty. Since switching to hand mixing her bottles, our daughter has been SO much happier and has been sleeping much better. We had the correct settings, had cleaned the machine regularly, disassembled and reassembled it, and still could not get it to dispense the correct amount of formula.
My research tells me that we are not alone and there is a class action suit pending against the company for this exact reason. For anyone formula feeding or looking to make the switch to formula and considering the Baby Brezza, please be aware that this is a possibility with the machine.
