Replacing the toner cartridges Use these steps to replace the toner cartridges. Turn the printer off, then wait a few minutes for the printer to cool. Figure : Example of pressing the top cover lever. Grasp the handles on the toner cartridge and pull to remove the cartridge from the printer.

Cover it with a piece of paper to protect it if necessary. Holding side edges of the toner cartridge, thoroughly rock it from side to side to redistribute the toner.
