Lobelie has the leaves in small rosettes on the sea bottom and therefore requires clear water so that sunlight can come down on the bottom. The plants are very vulnerable to pollution and nutrient supply. Two-lobed lily blossoms in July-August.
Skærsø is Kolding Municipality's only bathing lake and Jutland's easternmost heath lake. Please note that bathing in the lake is only permitted from the beach. The lake's depth rises to 7 meters off the southeastern bank where the beach is located. At the beach there are tables and benches and immediately close to a primitive toilet.
